Purpose of this site
We launched this website with the hope that as many people as possible would know about the beauty and splendor of Japanese bonsai.
About us
I’m an office worker living in the Kanto region of Japan.
Over ten years ago, I became fascinated by the beauty and magnificence of bonsai by chance, and have since purchased and cultivated many bonsai.
If you have ever grown a bonsai, you probably know that bonsai requires a lot of work. Starting with daily watering and seasonal maintenance. . Furthermore, the content and timing of care for each tree type differs, which can be difficult for beginners. To help bonsai enthusiasts including myself, I have compiled instructions on how to grow the main tree species.
Japan is also home to many wonderful bonsai works that have been created over many decades.
Whenever I see these works at bonsai exhibitions, I feel a sense of awe as I imagine the history of trees and the thoughts of people who have been passed down from generation to generation.
Around 2013, I came across breathtaking works of art at major bonsai exhibitions in Japan, and discovered photography. I wanted as many people as possible to know about these wonderful bonsai works, whether they are bonsai enthusiasts or not today, so I decided to publish them as a photo gallery.
Cool and wonderful Japanese bonsai to the world!
In Japan, the number of bonsai producers and enthusiasts is decreasing. The reality is that when you go to a bonsai garden or bonsai exhibition, there are many elderly people and only a limited number of young Japanese people. On the other hand, I feel that interest and interest in bonsai among people overseas is increasing. We must not allow the beautiful and wonderful bonsai that Japan boasts to the world to decline. I hope that through SNS and websites, people around the world will learn about the wonders of bonsai, and that the number of people who love bonsai will increase all over the world, and that bonsai in Japan will become even more popular.
I would be happy if I could convey the beauty and splendor of bonsai to people not only in Japan but all over the world.
